About me
Hi, I’m Patrick, a British photographer now based in beautiful Finland, where I live and work surrounded by forests, lakes, and the best light a photographer could ask for. My journey with photography started young — I got my first camera at 15 and spent hours capturing cars, landscapes, and anything else that caught my eye. That curiosity quickly turned into a passion, and after university I found myself working in school photography, where I honed my skills and discovered just how much I enjoy working with people.
From there, I branched out into weddings and events, and I haven’t looked back. Over the years, I’ve photographed in all sorts of places — from ornate halls in central London to the wide-open spaces of the New Forest, and even at legendary racing circuits like Goodwood and Silverstone. Each shoot brings its own story, and I love being there to capture it.
What I enjoy most about photography is simple: it’s the people. I get to be there for some of life’s most meaningful moments, and there's nothing better than seeing the look on someone’s face when they see a photo they truly love. That moment — when a couple says, “When did you take that?” — tells me I’ve captured something real, something honest.
My style is relaxed and candid. I believe the best photos happen in between the poses — just before the group shot, when someone cracks a joke, or in that quiet moment no one else notices. I’m not about forced smiles or stiff poses. I work with a smile on my face and a good sense of humour, and I’ve got an arsenal of tricks to coax out a natural grin from even the most camera-shy.
In 2022, I moved to Finland with my wife and immediately fell in love with the country. The nature here is breathtaking, and it’s added a whole new dimension to my photography. Whether I’m shooting in the soft light of a snowy forest, at a summer wedding by a lake, or in someone’s cosy home, I aim to make people feel at ease — and to leave them with photos they’ll treasure.
Feel free to explore my work, get in touch to book a session, or just say hello. I’d love to hear from you.
