Preparing for Your Photoshoot

A little preparation can make a big difference in helping your session feel relaxed and enjoyable. The goal is not perfection - just to help everyone feel comfortable and confident.

What to Wear

Choose clothing that feels comfortable and reflects your style. Neutral colours and simple patterns often photograph best, and it can help if family members wear colours that complement each other rather than match exactly.

Keep It Natural

There’s no need to worry about posing or knowing what to do. I’ll guide you when needed, but the best photos usually come from natural moments and genuine expressions.

Timing Matters

For outdoor sessions, the best light is usually early morning or later in the evening, which creates softer, more flattering light. Studio sessions are more flexible and can be arranged at a time that suits you.

Bring What Matters

If there’s something meaningful you’d like included — a favourite toy, blanket, or accessory — feel free to bring it along. Small personal touches can make photos feel more special.

Relax and Enjoy the Moment

The most important thing is to enjoy the experience. When people feel relaxed, the photos naturally reflect that.
